The Inspection and Self-Evaluation Framework (ISEF)

The Inspection and Self-Evaluation Framework (ISEF) is effective from January 2017 and is common to all phases inspected by the ETI. The ETI has developed the ISEF to provide a more holistic overview of the key aspects of education and training at all stages from early years through to further education and work-based learning. Each phase is supported by characteristics of effective practice and self-evaluation questions that are phase specific.
