Welcome to the Education and Training Inspectorate website.  Our aim is to be a highly regarded and influential organisation fully dedicated to the education and well-being of all learners.  We provide inspection services for the Department of Education, the Department for Employment and Learning and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure and seek to promote improvement through Inspection and the dissemination of findings.

  • 11 June 2008 - An Evaluation by the Educaton and Training Inspectorate of Informaton and Communication Technology (ICT) in Special Schools - May 2007 has been published today.  The report highlights the many examples of the good use of ICT and assistive technology in the schools and the improvements, including the implementation of Classroom 2000 (C2k), across the sector.  ICT in Special Schools

  • 4 February 2008 - Marion Matchett, the Chief Inspector of the Education and Training Inspectorate in Northern Ireland, today published a report evaluating the arrangements for the implementation of the Revised Northern Ireland Curriculum during the 2006/2007 school year.  Revised Curriculum
