Evaluating Schools

This document is intended to:

assist Board of Governors, parents and others to become better informed about key features of provision and practice in schools;
help principals, senior staff, teachers and Governors in their continuous evaluation of the ethos of the school, the quality of teaching and learning and of the ways in which management arrangements contribute to improvement in educational outcomes; and
complement and influence the programmes of senior management training provided by the various support agencies.
