Leadership, Inspection and School Effectiveness Conferences

As part of a series of ‘Leadership and Management’ issues events designed for school principals, the Regional Training Unit (RTU) organised one Post-primary and two Primary conferences in February / March 2011, on ‘Leadership, Inspection and School Effectiveness.’

Dissemination of the findings from the Inspection of Level 3 Priority Skills Areas

The Education and Training Inspectorate organised a ‘Dissemination of the findings from the Inspection of Level 3 Priority Skills Areas (2009/2010) and follow-up inspections of Level 2 Priority Skills Areas (2008/2009)’ on 14th December 2010. This interactive day provided an excellent opportunity for those who attended to consider ways to improve the delivery of the learning experiences in these areas. Invitation for applications for the Appointment of Associate Assessors

The Education and Training Inspectorate wishes to appoint Associate Assessors to support inspection and other aspects of policy advice for the Department of Education.

Launch of the revised Together Towards Improvement

The revised Together Towards Improvement (TTI) document, a resource to support schools in the process of self-evaluation has just been released. TTI is divided into three main sections: The Quality of Leadership and Management; The Quality of Provision: and The Quality of Achievements and Standards. Each section has a number of key questions with a set of quality indicators which the user can amend as required.

Launch of the new Education and Training Inspectorate Website

The Education and Training Inspectorate website has been redesigned from the ground up to make it more intuitive and user friendly, providing easier access to the content and publications that users require.
