The role of the District Inspector (DI) is central to the work of the Education and Training Inspectorate. Most inspectors are deployed as District Inspectors and support and challenge their district education and training settings in the best interest of the children and young people.

At all times, District Inspectors report as they find in order to affirm strengths and promote improvement in the interest of all learners and trainees.
