- The school community lives out fully its vision and thrives as ‘a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where every child is nurtured to grow with confidence, compassion and curiosity’.
- The curriculum leaders are highly committed to their respective areas of responsibility and to their professional learning and have identified appropriate areas for improvement; further analysis of first-hand evidence will enable them to gain deeper insight into the impact of improvement work on the children’s learning and progress.
- The children are very confident, courteous and articulate learners who are proud of their school, have a secure sense of identity and belonging, and achieve well across most areas of the curriculum.
- Teaching is underpinned by positive relationships and the effective use of praise, creating a supportive classroom ethos where the children are confident to ask questions and share ideas.
- The curriculum promotes the holistic development of the children by providing inclusive, creative, and culturally enriching experiences, such as music and language programmes, that build the children’s confidence, perseverance, and diverse skills.
- The strategic and well-embedded approach to digital learning enables the children to acquire a broad range of digital skills that prepare them well for life in an increasingly technological world.
- A key strength is the staff’s intentional focus on the health, well-being and safety of the whole school community. A strong culture of respect, inclusion, and well-being is fostered through a wide range of health initiatives, emotional literacy programmes, and holistic enrichment activities. As a result, the children are safe, happy, and resilient learners.
- The school community is deeply committed to equality, diversity and inclusion which is underpinned by the school’s well-embedded ethos of integration. The children are supported very well in their learning through a range of effective strategies and interventions which help them overcome any barriers to their learning.
- A positive, united and cohesive community spirit permeates the school. Well‑embedded and effective partnerships with parents, local primary schools and the wider community enhance significantly the children’s learning opportunities and experiences.
- At the time of the inspection, the evidence provided by the school demonstrates that the arrangements for child protection align to the current statutory guidance.
