The Dissolving Boundaries Programme has been in existence since 2000 and is managed by the Schools of Education at the University of Ulster and the National University of Ireland at Maynooth. 

Details

The programme aims to:

• Engage pupils in collaborative, curricular-based projects;

• Promote mutual understanding through collaborative, cross-border links; and

• Promote sustainability of the use of technology in schools.

In June 2010, following a meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council’s Sectoral Education Committee both DE and DES agreed to commission a joint evaluation of the Dissolving Boundaries Programme by the Education and Training Inspectorate and the DES Inspectorate. The evaluation was completed in the Autumn of 2011.
