The reports build upon important collaborative work involving the Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) and the Department of Education and Skills (DES) Inspectorate over many years.
The joint reports were launched in Belfast on 14 May 2015 by Chief Inspectors, Noelle Buick of the ETI and Harold Hislop of the DES Inspectorate. These reports contain the findings of a joint study by the ETI and the DES Inspectorate into key features of successful teaching and learning in literacy and numeracy at post-primary level.
The reports provides guidelines on how best to promote and improve literacy and numeracy across the curriculum at post-primary level.
