The ETI’s Chief Inspector, Faustina Graham, is delighted to welcome the new Inspector of Primary Education, Mairead Leonard, to the ETI Team.

Mairead brings with her over 15 years of experience as a principal in the primary sector. She has been a mentor and coach to newly appointed principals as part of the Education Authority’s First Time Principals’ Programme and has acted as a recruitment adviser for the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools.
The Chief Inspector said:
“It is a pleasure and privilege to welcome Mairead into ETI. She has demonstrated, through her previous work in the primary sector, her strong and unwavering commitment to ‘empowering improvement’ for the children and young people in her care.
“Her focus on doing what is best for children and young people will hold her in good stead as she joins our team. While the work of ETI is very demanding, I have no doubt she will find it to be interesting and hugely fulfilling.
“I wish her all the best in her new role.”
