A report of an inspection of the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, Enniskillen, Greenmount (Essential Skills only) and Loughry Campuses, inspected during January and February 2010.

Since 1995, the Belfast Education and Library Board has developed the concept of outreach youth workers and currently deploys outreach youth workers on fixed term contracts within each area project. 

Inspection Type: General Inspection

The Education and Training Inspectorate carried out a longitudinal inspection of the quality of the provision for both directed and work-based training and learning provided by Food and Drink Sector Skills, across the ApprenticeshipsNI programmes. 

This Inspectorate evaluation report follows-up on the fourteen recommendations in the inspectorate’s 2008 report on the implementation of the revised curriculum and assesses the progress made since January 2009. The evidence base, collected during 2009, includes performance levels from 106 lessons visited by district inspectors in September 2009 and performance levels from 2721 lessons in the 2009 inspection programme in 94 primary, 19 post-primary and 8 special schools.

In February 2010 the Education and Training Inspectorate carried out an inspection of the Training for Success and ApprenticeshipsNI programmes in Dairy Farm Training and People 1st Limited.
